The BDIH – KTBW supports several projects in implementing digitalization concepts and telemedicine approaches in real-world healthcare and care delivery. On the one hand, it provides existing publicly funded projects in Baden-Württemberg with expertise and networks to facilitate the integration of innovative approaches into routine care beyond the end of the funding period. On the other hand, it is actively involved in the practical implementation of specific pilot projects that have emerged from previous publicly funded initiatives. 

Examples include establishing digital platforms at the community level, where citizens can connect with one another locally and access information about municipal services and resources. 

The overarching goal is to accelerate the sustainable implementation of digital innovations in healthcare and to establish innovative healthcare concepts for the future, for example in the form of model regions. A structured strengthening of digital competencies among all stakeholders in the healthcare system is a fundamental prerequisite for achieving this goal.
